Django was the pick of litter from Phoenix & Mingus' first mating, a very successful union that resulted in 12 healthy, happy, and very high quality puppies.

Django shares his father's deep red coat colour and has a head so similar to Mingus' that we can't tell them apart in their puppy pics. He's also incredibly affectionate and fun-loving, always throwing himself into everything with huge enthusiasm!

Django followed in his parents pawsteps and entered the show-ring in Aug 2012, starting with back-to-back 1st places at the National Gundog Championship (qualifying him for Crufts) and then again, the following day, at Paignton Championship Show.

Django's terrific movement & carriage culminated in a super Gundog Group 2 + Gundog Puppy Group 1 double win at Okehampton & District at the age of 11 months - the exact same awards that were achieved by his father, Mingus, at the same show 2 years earlier!

2013 saw him pick-up 11 BOB's from 13 shows, and culminated in a Group 1 win at Plymouth. In April 2013 Django won the Krugerand Trophy for Top Scoring Show Puppy of 2012 at the Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla Club Awards.

He then started 2014 by taking Best Dog at the Boston Championship followed by another Group win at Central Corwall. The National Championship was his second Champ Show appearance of 2014 and he was awarded Best Dog once again and also won his first CC and gained his Stud Book number.

In Feb 2014, at the age of 2 years and 2 months, and like his father before him, Django qualified for a Show Certificate of Merit, one of only a very small number of HWV's, and only the 5th male ever to do so.
