Willow is a classic example of a show golden retriever, but she has a lively nature and loves the outdoors, betraying some working background. She has delicate features and is at the smaller end of the breed standard. She has been bred primarily for temperament with an eye to looks.
Willow is very people-oriented. She offers a warm welcome to visitors and is always affectionate to people she knows, leaning in for cuddles.
She is very patient with children and lies calmly in the lap of the most excitable child or teenager. She is not in the least reactive, never barks at people and only occasionally barks at dogs, when she is on guard at home. She has excellent manners around the house and is adventurous and inquisitive outdoors.
