Roxy is Purdie’s daughter and one of seven stunning sisters and one magnificent little bro who were fathered by the handsome dude “Finlay” – Creekside Cornish Scrumpy. Her mother had the most endearing quirky habit of lifting one questioning eyebrow independently of the other and when I glanced into the whelping box when her pups were just twelve days old, with newly opened eyes and saw this darling little mite echo her mother, my heart was lost.
She is a complete peach on every level, so intelligent, so in tune and perceptive of moods and nuances and so utterly beautiful that she makes my heart sing. She has deep, dark soul-searching eyes, a head and soft expression much admired, excellent conformation and her movement is strong, powerful and true. How she is able to cover the ground with such balance and grace is an anathema and total mystery as she has the most appalling hip score which sadly precludes her from contributing all her other excellent qualities to offer to the gene pool. This only goes to prove that there are no guarantees despite the most carefully researched “pedigrees” and only breeding from excellent health tested parents and that life indeed can throw enormous curved balls……but Roxy never saw the results and has lived her life at full tilt, with flair and effervescence as her huge pictorial gallery will show.
