In 2024 I decided to have a change of breed, only meant to be a guilty pleasure, I purchased my very first Jack Russell, needless to say after a very short time I discovered how easy smaller dogs were for their convenience. After 21 years of only ever having golden retrievers I have decided to focus on my jack Russells for a while. Although I still have my golden retrievers at home and may have the occasional litter, Jack Russells have stolen my heart and will be my main focus for now.

I have had a Golden Retriever in my life since I was 7 years old. My first was called Jessie (Doddridge Snow Bunting). Jessie was given to me as a birthday present and from that day I was obsessed. For 8 years I begged my parents to let me get another, so this is when I got Daisie (Trebell Tinkerbell).

Choosing my affix was something that I struggled to decide. We had just returned from one of our trips on Exmoor when it came to me. Our favourite place to be is "Withypool" and our favourite place to stay is "The Royal Oak Inn" so combining the two I came up with "Withyoak". For both me and the dogs this amazing Exmoor village is like heaven to us which is very special and hopefully one day we will be lucky enough to call our home.

Sadly at the age of 12 1/2 I had to say goodbye to Jessie due to old age. She could never be replaced as she was my first dog and we grew up together.

I decided after having the breed for so long I wanted to get into showing and maybe some breeding. In April 2016 I went to visit George as a tiny puppy and when he was old enough he came to live with me and my family in his new home. I began to show George when he was 6 months of age and we are still both very much enjoying it thanks to the help of his breeder Elaine Bond. At 18 months of age George achieved his Junior Warrant which was a very proud moment as his owner and for his breeder. I am very lucky to have had such success entering the show world.

Living in Cornwall we are extremely lucky to have such lovely woodland and beaches to exercise our dogs on.

On March 5th a new bundle of joy came all the way from Scotland to Cornwall to begin her new life with me and my dogs.
Nellie (Moloko Not On Your Nellie of Withyoak). What a confident puppy she is. Absolutely love her to bits.

Any bitches that have litters by my boy or puppies I have bred myself will be offered a lifetime of support and I am always here to help or give any advice if needed.
