We are a small family kennel, always breeding from well natured, health tested parents. The Flat Coat is a breed we adore, loving, gentle and with that in built joy that is just such a wonderful thing. A love for everything and a face and expression that just makes your heart melt.
The parents of our litters are carefully chosen for temperament, health and type. All our dogs are hip scored and eye tested. We have exciting bloodlines from Scandinavia along with Scottish and British lines. We aim to combine the very best show, work and tracking lines from both UK & Scandinavia. Both parents of our litters are carefully matched to make sure they are the best match possible. We are careful choosing a stud dog for each litter who compliments our bitches the best, wherever in the country he may be. We rarely (if at all) do repeat matings, instead we vary genetics and bloodlines and find a suitable sire for each of the litters our bitches will have. Our line of bitches are direct descendants from our foundation bitch Lara and as of 2021 that is 6 generations. We are proud to have crafted our Aricdell kennel through careful selection and choosing of mates through merit and what potential combinations will produce, certainly not for convenience. All our Flat Coats are here to be met, our older ones stay with us here as they should. Welcoming future generations and enjoying meeting visitors to Aricdell.
Friendly, biddable happy out going typical Flat Coats for active family pets, show or work. We have shown our Flat Coats (time permitting), consistently placed and have Crufts qualified many of our girls.
