JADECHAR LOWCHEN (LITTLE LION) DOG

I have been involved with dogs all My life, having bred and shown Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for many years. Our daughter Jade, now 19, began Junior handling and showing her dogs at the age of six and has continued on since then. All the family are active in the world of dogs, both Jade and I judge and our grandson Max age 8 now has his own Lowchen and has started to compete at shows.
Although our hobby is to show our dogs we do not have kennels, all our dogs are part of our family and live in the home with us.
Of course the Lowchen is not just a show dog, they make wonderful family pets and companions. Still a fairly rare breed they were introduced in the UK in the 1960's their history goes much much further back and there are many websites for you to gain more information on the breed. Though a toy dog they are a very robust little breed with an average height of 12" - 14". They are very intelligent and quick to learn, eager to please and very easy to live with. They will walk for miles with you or just as happy curled up on the sofa with you !
They have a silky coat with no undercoat, which means no shedding and excellent for those who have allergies. For showing they are clipped in the traditional Lion Trim, but look super cute in a pet trim. They are an extremely healthy and long living breed, the breed has no health testing requirements,though here at Jadechar we do regularly have all our Lowchen eye tested. Puppies sometimes available, but be prepared for lots of questions and more. our puppies will only be allowed to go to the very best caring homes.
All our dogs live with us in our home and likewise puppies are born, reared and socialised in our home.
