Abinvale Golden Retrievers

We live with our Golden Retriever family in the country close to Northern Ireland's scenic North Antrim coast with its lovely sandy beaches that are ideal for fun and exercise. Golden Retriever's have been part of our family since 1978 and we have been actively showing since the early 90's. We have enjoyed some success at shows winning Challenge Certificates, Green Stars, CACIB's, Best of Breed, Groups and Best in Shows at championship shows in both the UK and Ireland. To date, the highlight of our showing was at Crufts in 2014 when Ir, GB, Dk & Int Sh Ch Abinvale Traguardo, bred by us and shown by Emma was the Crufts Best of Breed winner going on to be placed 2nd in the Gundog Group. We have also been fortunate to have gained Show Champion titles for a number of our dogs in both GB and Ireland. In Ireland we owned the Top Golden Retriever for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015 and Top Brood Bitch each year from 2010 to 2016 and have been the Top Winning Kennel on many occasions.

As responsible breeders our dogs are all health screened under KC/BVA Health Schemes for hips, elbows and eyes. We only breed occasionally striving to breed puppies that are fit for function, conform to the Kennel Club's Breed Standard and most importantly have excellent temperament and are available to permanent loving homes.
