We share our home with Whippets who are our companions first and foremost. As a hobby we show a few of them, not to set the world alight but to spend time with like minded people. That said we have been fortunate enough to own the top winning male some years ago. Showing is less intense and more leisurely these days. I have lived with Whippets for nearly 50yrs now. We both serve on a general open show committee and have previously served on a Whippet breed club as secretary and treasurer.
