Our beautiful soft coated wheaten terriers are both family and show dogs. You are as likely to see them in a river or up a mountain as you are to see them in the show ring. They all live in our home and love nothing more than cuddling on the sofa at the end of the day.

There are two coat types in wheaten terriers and we have both. The more commonly seen heavy or English coat and the authentic original silken native Irish coat. Both coat types have their fans and we are fans of both.

Our pups make wonderful family pets but like any pup, their new families must make the effort to train them. There is also a grooming commitment with this breed but we will give guidance on this and it can be done at home.
We are also very proud of the commitment we make to our puppy owners by providing continued support and grooming help throughout their dog's life.

If someone is keen to try their hand at showing, we are more than happy to help them with that journey.

Our dogs have had great success in the showring in Scotland and throughout the UK. You may wonder why this is important. Well, through showing, the breed type is maintained and wheaten terriers STAY looking like wheaten terriers as the dogs must be as described in the Royal Kennel Club's standard.

These are some of our dogs' successes:

Pooka has 1 CC and 7 RCCs. She was the UKs top SCWT Veteran in 2021 and 2022 and has had many Veteran Group placings at Championship shows.

Shoogle has 2 CCs and 5 Reserve CCs.

Síoda has 1 CC and 5 Reserve CCs.

Effin has 1 RCC, 1 Best Puppy in Show, 3 Reserve Best Puppy in Shows, 8 Best Puppy in Breed at Championship shows, and 13 Best of Breeds, all at only 11 months old.

All our dogs are shown at Championship shows throughout the year including where they have won many 1st places in large classes.

Pooka, Shoogle, Síoda, Taisie and Effin have all qualified for CRUFTS for life and will be there in 2024.

All our dogs are fully health tested. These tests include hipscores, BVA eye tests, DNA testing for PLN, DM and RBP4, blood and urine tests. We follow the Code of Ethics set out by the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of GB.
