Our Breeding Philosophy and Commitment

Healthy, happy puppies for loving families!

We are dedicated to breeding special companions who make delightful additions to any family. Our main aim is to produce healthy puppies with lovely temperaments. We focus on raising well-socialised dogs that are a joy to own.

Health Testing and Protocols

All of our breeding dogs undergo rigorous health testing to ensure the well-being of our puppies. We test for hip and elbow dysplasia, as well as hereditary eye conditions and other breed-specific concerns. Only dogs with excellent health scores and strong pedigrees are selected for breeding. Comprehensive Socialisation Programme

From birth, our puppies are introduced to a structured socialisation programme. This includes exposure to a variety of sights, sounds, and experiences within our home and farm environment. Puppies interact with adults, children, and other animals, helping them develop confidence and adaptability. Our approach ensures each puppy is well-prepared for life in a family setting.

Living Environment

Situated on a working farm in Cornwall, our dogs enjoy plenty of space to explore and play. They live indoors with us as part of the family, receiving daily affection and attention. Our young, enthusiastic family means the dogs are comfortable around children and benefit from a vibrant home atmosphere.

Care and Enrichment for Breeding Dogs

Our breeding girl is treated as a cherished family pet. She enjoys daily off-lead walks on the farm, adventures to new walking spots, and trips to the beach. We prioritise her enrichment and happiness, ensuring she leads a fulfilling life both before and after breeding.

Physical and Temperamental Qualities

The bitch we breed from and the stud dog are chosen for their attractive appearance, excellent temperaments, and outstanding health. We maintain breed standards by selecting dogs with good conformation and robust health, ensuring our puppies are not only beautiful but also capable of many years of active life.

Breed Standards and Working Ability

Although we do not show our dogs or train them for the shooting field, we strive to uphold the breed’s working ability. Most of our puppies have a natural love for retrieving, possess excellent noses, and enjoy swimming. These traits are typical of the breed and provide great exercise and enjoyment.

Ongoing Support and Owner Relationships

We value staying connected with puppy owners throughout their dogs’ lives. The majority of our puppies become much-loved family members, known for their gentle natures and sensible attitudes. Many families return for a second puppy, and some even have multiple dogs from us. We are always available for advice and support, ensuring a lifelong partnership with our puppy owners.
