My mum bred Rough Collies & showed successfully in the late 70's/early 80's so my love of dogs and yearning to breed a litter of my own was inevitable.

I fell in love with Border Terriers from a young age, being around them for several years on a friend who used to breed them's farm. I loved their sprightly character, being a mix of large dog fearlessness, with the convenience of being small (don't tell them that!). Also for their intelligence, hardiness and being a generally healthy and low maintenance breed.

As an adult, I finally got one from said farm when our family was young. Beau has been our 3rd child and been everywhere with us, even to the top of the National 3 Peaks! As she is getting older (14 this year!), and our children are too, we decided to add to our family 2 years ago and found Mabel aka Jan Dodonna.
