I (Carole) fell in love with this breed a few years ago having previously spent my whole life loving and caring for my pedigree Rough Collies. Together with my mother, we as a hobby, bred and exhibited Rough Collies from I was an extremely young age. Drawn to Bernese Mountain Dogs, I had wanted one for years and finally took the plunge a few years ago, I decision I will never regret! They are in my opinion the best natured dog.
Now I have a couple of girls and a beautiful boy that are by absolute world. I enjoy exhibiting them but most of all I just enjoy the company and love that they give.
I am a lecturer in animal management and a researcher having completed my PhD in Education, therefore, health and welfare of my dogs are very important to me, hence the importance of health testing. I also train my dogs in obedience and I am a Kennel Club obedience examiner.
I am lucky that I am able to work from home and spend most of my day with the girls. We live on a farm so they have plenty of space and things to do. They love traveling and being social ( just like me!) so you will often find us frequenting our local dog friendly coffee shops :)
