We have had working type spaniels for last 18 years, first springers and now cockers. They are such loyal dogs, little shadows. I trained up my first springer through the gundog working trials and enjoyed going beating with her. Since then I have followed the gundog training as they thrive on retrieving games. It really builds the bond and creates a lifetime partnership.

We have a mini pack of 3 spaniels, the last of our springers, Aunty Sprocket at 12yrs old, Teal our first working cocker now approaching 5 years, and her mini-me daughter Heidi 1.5years.

Teal's 3rd and final litter of chocolate mini-me's are settling well in their family homes and it is lovely hearing the feedback and seeing how they are all doing.

The focus for the rest of this year, is training up young Heidi with the hope of getting to level I can do gundog tests with her. Taking her out and about with me on her own to get her well socialised. I'll get her health checked and all being well, may have a litter from her next year (2026).
