The words of Anatole France are so true, ‘Until one has loved an animal, part of one’s soul remains unawakened’. For me the fondness and pleasure of canine companionship started as a child with Springer Spaniels (English and Welsh). But my passion for the Cocker Spaniel, a truly wonderful breed, began with dear Connie. She was such a devoted, special friend to all the family who produced two stunning litters of puppies. Luna reminds us of her Mum often, she is beautiful, gentle and so loving. My Kennel Club affix Luciena is a combination of letters from the names of these two exceptional golden girls.
