Landebec Happy Hour at Tipibear

We started our Labrador family in 2005 when Harry "Lindall Definite Article from Tipibear" came to join us from Alan and Linda Porter. Having already been out to a family and returned it was fate that he was the only dog left. He taught us many things (good and bad!)and that a family isn't complete with only one dog. So in 2007 Thomas "Brigburn Farm Assist" joined us from Lynda Herons Brigburn kennel in Northumberland. Such a contrast to Harry, Thomas was a quiet, willing and gentle soul. It was also Thomas who gave us our first glimpse into the show world with a couple of placing's at a local open show. Unfortunately we lost Thomas to cancer in 2009.

Realising how life wasn't bearable with only one dog, later on in 2009 we introduced Dougie "Brigburn Sweet William with Tipibear" to the family. Another total contrast to Harry and Thomas. Dougie is a gentle giant who is very eager to please but doesn't do things quietly!

In 2011 we decided to expand the family even more and that's when Teddy "Lindall Just Do It at Tipibear" came to join us. We decided at an early age with Teddy that we were going to pursue a show career with him and he hasn't disappointed. Qualifying for Crufts 2013 twice at his first ever Champ show at the Labrador Club of Scotland in May 2012 was just the start of things to come. He is the sweetest, calmest and most loveable of the four boys we've owned.

After losing dear Harry in the summer of 2016, we once again realised that our family was missing that third dog, so in September 2016 along came Ernie "Shaymiloney Solsequoia Tipibear" from Hayley Jo Brambles lovely Shaymiloney kennel. He possessed the lines I love so I knew he was the right fit for the family. He too pursued a show career and like his big brother Ted has since gained his stud book number qualifying him for Crufts for life.

Archie joined us in 2018 (purely by accident), taking us upto 4 dogs (which I was told was never going to happen). A non-show Labrador but now the leader of the family.

Unfortunately in 2019, we lost our first “big yellow” Dougie, and it left a massive hole in our lives.

We carried on as a party of three, and in late summer 2021, after moving house, we decided the time was right to go back to 4 dogs. So along came Freddie. He has been our most successful boy in the show ring having gained two Challenge Certificates and two reserve Challenge Certificates. A clown but an absolute showman. We are so proud of him and thank Natalie Baron continuously for allowing him to become part of our family.
