Breeder of:
- Golden Retriever
To start we will give you a brief history of how we got into this wonderful breed....
It was my oldest daughter who bought a retriever and from then on we were bitten with the Golden Retriever bug... We had our homebred Cocker spaniel from my first litter who was in his twilight years and we promised ourselves that we would own a Goldie when the sad day arrived, it was a long wait as `Batty` lived to the grand age of 17!!
Then after a good search for a Goldie Sophie came along and she certainly lived up to the wonderful reputation that the breed carries.
We then decided to breed following Sophie's good results from her health tests, but we wanted to have our own dog and create our own line, and that is how Freddie came into our lives and from there on is history.....
We bought Freddie from a lovely reputable breeder who was also a very prestigious judge . He was given the best of starts, we remember going to see him at 11 weeks old and the breeder carried him round, even then he was a big boy......
If he had his way I think he would be carried from thereon !
Freddie had the most wonderful temperament with looks to match and the breeding is fabulous. Along with good health tests results.
Sophie and Freddie created a fabulous line of our own. Some of which went to be part of a great organisation `Dogs for the Good '
We sort of then we're led into some of our pups going directly to families with children who need that little extra and our dogs are fulfilling a role second to none A guardian angel is how I describe them .
A true testament of our breeding.
I Always offer as much or as little lifelong support as needed and they all go with a contract. This gives both parties the knowledge that if for any reason circumstances change, the absolute first place is they come back home ,whatever the age.
Freddie was such a special boy who has passed his special, caring temperament on to all of his puppies.
Cassie, joined us a a adorable pup, who was a absolute joy and such a lovely lady and passed her gentleness on to her litters with Freddie being a great dad.
She is enjoyed her senior years and has been a lovely granny and had passed onto Hollie her wisdom.
Freya whom is Freddie's and Cassie daughter was also a lovely mama and again great health tests and by this time we were producing a lovely line of golden retrievers Freya gave us our unique Hollie and is enjoying retirement. She is now a therapy dog for the local police force (actually been on TV famous for her caring and calm disposition.
Sadly we lost Freddie suddenly July 21 it was a huge shock and left a very big hole in our life. Cassie missed him dreadfully, but with Hollies great outlook on life we were all kept on our toes and she brought us lots of giggles, and still does, with her mischievous ways!
Then the sad day arrived in September 25 when Cassie joined Freddie her love. A huge space to be filled . Which we did with Dottie born July 2025. Not in our plan but sometimes gate takes over.
Hollie has been the most amazing mum and we hope she enjoys her retirement, and hopefully her granny duties.
What a way to carry on with our amazing Wotinjas line .
Hollie absolutely adores her and Dottie makes us smile every day.
If all goes well with her relevant health tests when she is 12 months old we will search for a dog that also has good health results and a good co-efficient, looks and temperament, we will endeavour to have a litter in 2027 .
Our dogs have always enjoyed the freedom we have at home getting up to mischief especially when I'm in the barn getting straw for my horses, they think its great fun to jump on the bale and then jump into the huge bag that i am filling!!
I get lots of help mucking out, they think horse poo tastes yummy ... They love sleeping next to the Aga never moving when I'm trying to cook and I never ask them I just lean over them !!!! Who is the boss here ??? The only problem is that they still think they are little and get up on your knee , not easy to watch the telly with a 35kilo dog on you !!
Well that is a short description to our wonderful family of Goldies
I welcome all enquiries and happy to chat about this amazing breed of dog.
All of our dogs have been fully health tested and results can be viewed via the Kennel Club website.
All are below the national guidelines
Thank you for reading about my lovely family of Goldies, past and present .
I'm happy to answer any questions,
I always have a waiting list once prospective families pass the 'polite' interrogation .
It's not about you wanting one of my pups ...it's about me allowing you to have one.
