I have worked Border terriers since the mid 1980's and my present line are descendents of my foundation sire, Hyperion Bing at Badgerbeck (1987) and my foundation female Lady of Badgerbeck (1984). Bing and Lady were great workers and Bing was also shown successfully, gaining my first KC stud book number.
I still breed for working ability while also trying to produce dogs that fit the breed standard well and can compete successfully in the ring, the Badgerbeck kennel name being behind several UK champions as well as multiple CC, RCC and overseas champions. All stock of breeding age are DNA SLEM tested clear or hereditary clear by parentage, and most are also KC/BVA eye tested. I will not allow my males to cover a bitch who's SLEM status is not known but do accept both clears and tested carriers.
