Maxfield Labradors

We have owned and loved Labradors for over 40 years, originally as family pets before developing a passion for showing. Our journey into the show ring began with our third Labrador, Resuac Rocco Navana (Paddy), and from that moment we were truly bitten by the show bug.

Our fourth Labrador, Mandursans Miss Demeanor at Maxfield (Skye), became the foundation bitch of Maxfield Kennels. Skye was an exceptional brood bitch, producing quality and success in the show ring, and was awarded Brood Bitch of the Year 2018.

Skye was mated to Ch Salty Dog of Tampa Bay, producing our first litter on 6th September 2012, a litter of ten puppies. From this litter we retained two puppies, both of whom gained their Junior Warrant titles.

One of these was Sh Ch Maxfield Maybelline JW (Darcy), who went on to become a Show Champion and Best of Breed winner at Crufts 2019. Darcy has achieved 7 Reserve CCs, 4 CCs and 3 Best of Breed awards, gaining the title Show Champion Maxfield Maybelline JW.

A second litter from Skye, sired by Sh Ch Devonshire’s London Edition, produced Sh Ch Maxfield Arabella JW (Bella). Bella began her show career in style, winning Best Puppy at Three Ridings Championship Show at just 7 months old. She gained her first CC at 13 months, her second CC in 2018, and her third CC along with Best of Breed at the National Gundog Championship Show in 2019, making her Show Champion Maxfield Arabella JW.

A proud highlight for Maxfields was when Sh Ch Maxfield Maybelline JW won the Open Class ,Bitch CC and Best of Breed at Crufts 2019.

All of our Labradors are bred for excellent temperament, soundness and quality, having been raised in a family environment around children. They are a pleasure to own and live with.
