I have been breeding Labradors for 30 years trying to breed a chocolate which is capable of holding its own in field trials. To achieve this I have been using field trial dogs on chocolate bitches with the aim of putting some style and pace into the resulting black progeny which carry the chocolate gene. Working with a small number of dogs progress has been slow but steady.To date I have bred a black ( Wingbeat Actor )sire of the chocolate Grangemead Flint which has won a two day open stake ( only the second chocolate to do so ) and Wingbeat Midas of Styleside also chocolate which has attained two 3rd places in novice stakes. I hip/elbow score, eye test annually and DNA test all my stock for CNM, prcd PRA and EIC which hopefully will increase my chances of breeding healthy intelligent working dogs with a temperament that makes them a pleasure to own.
I retained a pup from the Corrie/Styleside Xanadu mating and he has made a fine looking dog.He is hereditarily clear for CNM,prcdPRA and EIC with a hip score of 0/0 and 0 elbows
