I have owned and bred Border Terriers since 2012. My first home-bred and trained show dog is Weststar Lone Ranger at Ardenholm aka Sully. He has been a delight to train and handle as a puppy, junior and post graduate. Sully has a lovely nature and now fully mature, he is ready to progress as an adult. We enjoy taking part in ringcraft training, Good Citizen obedience classes, exhibiting at Open and Championship shows and have recently started agility.
Sully qualified for Crufts 2020 at his first Championship Show outing as a puppy under Stewart McPherson. He then repeated his qualification multiple times with high placings at every championship show into which he was entered, in addition to numerous class wins at Open Shows. Culminating in his achievement at Crufts 2020 being placed:
VHC (5th) Yearling Dog
VHC (5th) Good Citizen Dog
Since resuming exhibition in June 2021 Sully has been placed in all his outings, notably:
1st Graduate Dog - Leeds (July 2021)
1st Graduate Dog - Blackpool (August 2021)
1st Graduate Dog - Midland BT Club (2020 deferred Champ Show)
1st Graduate Dog - National Dog Show (September 2021)
1st Special Beginner in all the above shows
“.. just short of 11 months. Typical head and expression. Good neck, shoulder, front and feet. Topline and tailset ok. Excellent hindquarters. Super coat and pelt. Still a shade puppyish in movement, quite correct for his age, coming and going, but good in profile. Understand he won the AV Terrier/ Working/Pastoral Special Beginners Puppy Stakes! Congratulations!”

“Head and skull in good proportion. He has a dark eye and good pigmentation. Scissor bite. Narrow front. Legs show good bone and his paws are small and well padded. He has a good bend of stifle. He was easily spanned and moved out soundly on the day..”
