I have had German Pointers for over 38 years. I love the energy and loving nature of them, as well as their natural working ability and breed occasionally, choosing the sire carefully to ensure healthy pups with great temperaments.

Although family pets first we also show and work them. Teasel and Tirran love nothing more than being on a Grouse Moor, or taking part in Working Tests and Field Trials. Torridon loves the ring and we are pleased at how well he has done, with three Reserve Challenge Certificates and his Stud Book Number. He has produced some lovely puppies with great temperaments and conformation. We are happy to discuss using Torridon for Stud to suitable health tested bitches.

Our dogs are a big part of our family:

Teasel is our 6yr old, home bred beautiful girl, she is full of energy and drive with an excellent nose. She has won Working Tests at Open Level, and graded Very Good at Grouse Pointing tests, she took part in the HPR Home Internationals, being placed Best Hunting Dog of the competition in 2023 as well as second overall, she had another successful year in 2024 as part of the Scottish HPR Team again obtaining the highest score in the team. Whilst her working ability is admired by many, including judges, she is still very much our family pet who loves nothing more than curling up by the fire or enjoying endless cuddles, when not out on the hills. She has had a show career too, taking part in Crufts as well as gaining her Stud Book Number, but our passion is being out on the hill with our dogs. She has passed on her loving nature and natural ability to her pups who are all wonderful family pets, as well as enjoying using their skills both in the field and in the ring. (She is the daughter of Esse and Torridon and granddaughter of Rannoch and Breeze)

Tirran (Torridon's daughter) is our youngest family member at 3yrs old. She has a loving energetic nature, and like her half sister Teasel, has a wonderful natural ability in the field. This year we are starting to compete in Field Trials, as well as Grouse Counting, and walked up days, where she is developing her skills. Like all of our dogs, when not out and about, she is very much part of the family enjoying her home comforts. (Tirran is half sister to Teasel, daughter to Torridon and Granddaughter to Rannoch)

Torridon (Rannoch's son) is a handsome, gentle solid liver boy, at ten years old he has matured into an elder statesman, although he is shown infrequently now, he still does well often winning 1st in Veteran classes, and is still admired for his beautiful head, and soft expression. He has sired some wonderful pups, producing a show champion as well as other pups who are doing well in their show and / or working careers. Home bred he takes after his mum (Rannoch), and has a good nose and lots of instinct when out in the field, yet soft and loving when at home. He is available at stud and passes on his old fashion head and gentle nature to his pups.

Rannoch (Torridon's mum & Teasel & Tirran's Granny) is our 14 year old Solid Liver bitch from working / show stock and has very strong instincts, and still loves to play and full of mischief, with a great temperament and family member.

Esse (Breeze's daughter & Teasel's mum) sadly passed away in 2022,she was a beautiful loving happy dog. Full of fun, and boundless energy, with a strong instinct but also very willing to please and biddable, and like all my GSPs as loving as ever.

Breeze sadly passed away in Oct 19 at almost 13 yrs- Liver and White bitch of Mistyayre lines. She had a lovely nature and very energetic right up to old age, with a good nose and instincts, she has produced some lovely pups with great temperaments and loving natures with the typical GSP energy and strong instincts.

We breed occasionally, and many of our puppy owners come back for their 2nd, or 3rd pup, even waiting for over 12m for a pup as they are so pleased with their original pup. I am happy to chat / about what its like to have a GSP or answer any questions if you are considering adding a GSP to your family.
