Penidasher GSP's - We are Kennel Club breeders of German shorthaired Pointers based in the rural surroundings near Penistone, located centrally in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England.
We anticipate the first litter from our gorgeous health checked third generation penidasher girl... strudel (penidasher coeur Valentin) in spring/summer 2024. Strudel is an absolutely perfectly formed, stunning representation of a German shorthaired pointer and was selected from minstrels previous litters. We are now accepting any interest to go on the early waiting list for any forthcoming litter.

As a family based breeder we occasionally offer very high quality German shorthaired pointer pups to good quality GSP friendly homes in both the working & show fields or as simply a great family member!

Minstrel (Penidasher Valentine)is our very beautiful, perfectly sized bitch selected from Rolo's final litter born on 11th February 2014.

We have been breeders within the remit and standards of the Kennel Club since we started breeding high quality GSP pups in 2010, and as such we comply with all health and breeding criteria of the kennel club for this truly wonderful breed.

We carefully select health checked stud dogs with good hip scores & health tests, including eyes, to go with the qualities of our Bitch who herself is fully health tested, with excellent hip score results.

Our previous litters have been very successful, with big robust & healthy pups, in addition to being also very pleasing to the eye, and have built up the reputation of penidasher GSP to what it is today.

All of our puppy homes from previous litters would recommend Penidasher wholeheartedly, (in fact quite a few have been so impresssed they have come back for a second puppy in subsequent litters!) we can provide contact details of our customers should you want to know what we are like from our customers... the most important opinion!

GSP pups from German lines are highly intelligent workers, and the GSP pups from Penidasher GSP can be expected to be very intelligent, incredibly biddable in the field, quick learners with the inherent strong hunting instincts with excellent noses, and as such are best suited to very active family homes, or working homes who can nurture and utilize the breeds instincts, intelligence and immense work rate. The lines of this forthcoming litter also has a strong element of show winning lines.

As a family dog for regular long runs they never stop, and as such require plenty of free open field running space within walking distance, GSP's should be off the lead wherever possible.

Within the family home or mixing with any person, they have what I believe to be the best temperament in the dog world, absolutely 'bomb-proof', after a day out running, they like nothing better than to chill with (or usually on!!) their human pack!!

Minstrel and subsequently strudel have a gorgeous, placid and friendly but energetic temperament in the home, it is often commented on the great personalities and appearance of Penidasher pups and dogs.

Penidasher pups are kept in tact complete with the waggy tails they are born with!! We don't engage in mutilation on a strict basis.
