The Passernomen affix was established in 2008 and is owned by Mrs Joanna Marachowska and Mr Tomasz Marachowski. We were proud members of The Royal Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme from 2010 until December 2024, when the scheme was officially closed nationwide. Throughout those fourteen years we maintained the highest standards of health testing, welfare, transparency and responsible breeding. These principles continue to guide our kennel today.

Our journey with dogs began much earlier. Shih Tzus have been part of our family since 1995, supported by relatives who were active breeders of the breed. This early background gave us a strong foundation in pedigree structure, health, temperament and ethical breeding practices.

Our introduction to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier came in 2006 when we purchased our first male, Rudy Rio. The breed won our hearts immediately with its character and loyalty. One year later we entered the show world and remained involved ever since. Over the years we have exhibited at Royal Kennel Club licensed shows across the UK, gaining deep understanding of correct type and movement.

As our experience grew, Joanna became a qualified judge. This background gives us a structured and analytical approach to the breed standard, and it directly benefits the quality of dogs we produce. We focus exclusively on Royal Kennel Club registered Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Shih Tzus, selecting dogs based on health, temperament, structure and long-term development of the breeds.

Puppies at Passernomen are raised in a true home environment. They live alongside our daughter, our cats and our other dogs, and this constant exposure forms a crucial part of their early socialisation. From the first weeks they learn confidence, calm behaviour, household sounds, family routines and respectful interaction with children and animals. Many new owners comment that this early foundation makes their puppies exceptionally well balanced.

Every litter is carefully planned with health testing, eye screening, temperament stability and genetic diversity as priorities. New families receive full guidance, ongoing support and remain part of the wider Passernomen community.

Nearly two decades of experience with dogs, showing, judging and following Royal Kennel Club standards have shaped Passernomen into a kennel built on trust, responsibility and genuine love for our breeds. Our dogs are and always will be family first.
