Moonwater is a small hobby kennel situated in a small village near Daventry, Northamptonshire, centrally located in the Midlands.

My name is Jo and I am dedicated to breeding Golden Retrievers with lovely soft temperaments who retain the desire to carry and retrieve. All my dogs are suitable as family companions. Moonwater is my affix.

I have been involved in training and breeding dogs for many years and my owned my first German Shepherd at the age of 14 years. This started a journey of involvement with dogs which included running a large boarding and training kennels. After an enforced gap away from dogs through illness, I have now started breeding and working dogs again, but this time as a hobby.

I enjoy the wonderful soft temperament of the Goldens and am particularly interested in motivational, positive training where the dogs are encouraged to think and learn from their experiences and have completed several courses in clicker training.

My dogs are very much part of my family and we welcome visitors.
