I have been involved with Golden Retrievers since the early 80's which is when I started working in the Golcrest Kennels.I now have 3 lovely goldens,all of which I am pleased to say go back to some very old Westcountry breeding lines and all live indoors with us as part of the family . We do attend a few shows and the boys have done very well over the years, but the most important thing is our boys are family pets who come on holiday with us in the motor home & spend most days either swimming or walking on Dartmoor

Our boy Magic was the first male Golden Retriever to acheive The Kennel Clubs Show Certificate of Merit award and won first prize at Crufts Dog Show in 2008 and again in 2009.Also at The Top Dog Of Devon event held in November 2010,Magic won the Veteran class,so became The Top Veteran of Devon (all Breeds)
We have stored frozen seamen from Magic and absolutely thrilled to say a litter was born on the 14th of May 2025

Our lovely young boy Colby, ,Fulvia Just Magic At Jandeburn is a Magic Great grandson,our 6 th generation here
He is such a dear boy with a lovely nature, who loves everyone and with great health test resuts

His first litter arrived on the 7th May 2025, 8 lovely puppies, his second litter arrived on the 29th November, 10 beautiful puppies, his third litter arrived in December & his 4th litter arrived in March ,9 beautiful pups ,fingers crossed more pups are on their way ……..

CROSBY, Colbys Grandad also did us proud in the Show ring.He won Best In Show at The Devon County show 2015, he gained the Kennel Clubs Show Certifiacate Of Merit in May 2015 & he also won 2 Reserve CC’s
.We have 2 Crosby Sons here ,Douglas ,so laid back and a wonderful nature.
And We also have Duke ,who is now 7 and has grown up into a lovely boy.
Duke has sired some lovely litters of Puppies with 2 more litters due this year
Duke has a Clear BVA eye Certificate & Is Gonioscopy PLA 0 = Normal . Dukes Hips are 6:7 = 13 & Elbows 0:2 ....unfortunately due to an injury ,BVA Eye Test Clear 2025 & is PRA 1 & 2 Clear & has gained his Stud Book Number in October 2024.

December 2023 ,Douglas …Chalksville Barregarrow At Jandeburn JW ShCM VW is awarded runner up TOP VETERAN OF DEVON ,only beaten by our German Shepherd dog Daz, Chalksville Cool Running over Jandeburn ShCm ShCEx VW
