Rafa is our foundation male and was imported into the UK in 2004.

He is of exceptional quality & temperament & has been lucky enough to have an exceptional show career which is still going strong at his 7 year birthday. Rafa's wins include 2CCs, 3RCCs, 12BOBs, 7BDs, 13RBDs, 2x WG2, 4x WG1 plus numerous placings and WG shortlistings all at championship show level.

Rafa has proved himself to be a prolific sire and has for Crufts 2010 alone 6 direct progeny qualified.

Rafa is litter brother to the Crufts Working Group winner 2007 Giving A New Royalstar DeJungla Negra (Rollito) who himself is sitting on 2CCs although he lives in Italy with Guiseppe Biagoti.

Fibi is our foundation female who we imported into the country in 2003.

Fibi is a superstar and has such personality you can't help but like her! She is strong yet feminine and has herself, although been out of the show ring for long periods of time for whelping & didn't consistently start showing until 2006, has had a very good show career. Fibis awards include 1CC, 5RCCs, 8BBs & 8RBBs and she has now just ventured into the Veteran classes winning the class first time out in VB at Blackpool 2009.

This is probably one of Lapema's most famous Labradors who was bought from our kennels by Gwen Broadberry of Sandylands back in the 90's along with his litter brother Leo.

He was purchased from Sandylands by Franco Barberi from Italy.

Larry sired for Franco, one of the top winning Labrador females of all time, both in Europe and the UK, Multi Champion Amber.

Lapema Kennels is a family run fully licenced breeding and show kennel situated in Worcestershire. My name is Pamela and I run the kennels with the help of my daughter Kerry and her husband Mike. It is Kerry & Mike that is mostly seen in the showring.

We specialise in two breeds, the Alaskan Malamute and the Labrador. We very successfully show our Malamutes at Championship show level and have many top awards. Please visit our website for many photos of our dogs and also for an up to date show record of which we are immensly proud.

We imported our two foundation Malamutes Rafa & Fibi from Spain from the world famous Jungla Negra kennels. Rafa also has the Del Biagio bloodlines and he is the only direct son of Multi Ch. Royalstar Del Biagio in the UK. Rafa has not only sired very good progeny for our kennels but also for other UK based kennels that have produced puppies for both Working and Showing.

Our Labradors are all from Sandylands lines and we are the breeders of Lapema's Larry & Leo of Sandylands that have produced some specatular progeny that is shown worldwide.

All our dogs are health screened before breeding to include hipscoring and eye testing.
