I have shared my life with gundogs for 40 years now. My first GSP, a Midlander, from the world famous kennel of David & Mic Layton, was in 1982. We made our debut in the showring together, where he gained Best Of Breed amongst strong competition. It was to be our only show together though as he hated it, so I didn't put him through it again. I, however, got bitten by the showing bug after that initial success, & have been showing my dogs ever since.

My dogs also enjoy going out working in the shooting season, & keep me fit the rest of the year too, as we have the beautiful Derbyshire Dales countryside on our doorstep for our daily walks.
