'Noof' - a most wonderful friend and sire of many accomplished dogs both here and abroad.
Sadly lost late 2009 aged 11 1/2 with peritonitis after ne ate the stuffing from his 'Kudos' dogbed.
Tremendously missed.
The Casblaidd kennel was founded in 1987, when Chris Hewison had his first dog, Nemo (The Viking of Woodbridge). Chris and Nemo went on to achieve many goals, not the least of which included the K.C.J.O. Junior of the Year and the K.C.J.O. Gold Medal in Obedience with the Welsh team. Nemo also partnered Louise Vaughan to the K.C.J.O. Junior Handler of the Year, showing the versatility of the Flatcoated Retriever.
Chris and Caroline are now carrying the affix into the next generation from their home in West Yorkshire.
This kennel prides itself on its working ability, and has taken many prizes in Working tests. The dogs all work hard during the season, which lasts from early September to the end of January, after which we attend selected shows.
This kennel has bred nine dogs who have achieved their Shooting Dog Certificates - no mean feat.
Casblaidd Fable has also done magnificently in top competition obedience, as well as working tests, and is a credit to her super handler Caroline Eley.

Casblaidd Little Archer SDC 'A' KCWGC 'Duncan' - the fifth generation of Shooting Dog Certificate Holders, four of which have come from this kennel.
Super working pedigree, which has been proved with his good results in working tests, both breed and any variety. Very good looking boy, who has sired pups with great potential both home and abroad.
We proud to announce the arrival of a litter of three beautiful babies in Coburg, Germany, out of the beautiful liver bitch Eowyn Umbra Fida, and also a litter of 9 babies in Austria out of Ally McBeal.

Our aim is to produce good looking trainable dogs for work or play.
It is satisfying to have won six Shooting Dog Certificate Classes at the Flatcoated Retriever Championship show under six different judges with four different dogs.
We are very proud of the six Shooting Dog Certificate holders in the picture. We have now bred or owned 17 SDC dogs.
