We have been showing and breeding Golden Retrievers for over 30 years.

Our dogs have had considerable success at all levels in the show ring, including winning at Crufts and we have owned a Dog World/Pedigree Top Golden Retriever.

We are proud that several of them have also proved their working ability by gaining their Show Gundog working Certificates. We have owned 11 dogs who have won their stud book numbers and 7 with Junior Warrants.

We both judge at Championship Show level & Julie has also awarded CAC/CACIB at Championship level internationally.
We strive to produce healthy, happy dogs with the true Golden Retriever temperament. All our dogs are health screened under the KC/BVA schemes.

All our dogs live indoors as part of our family. We do not consider Golden Retrievers are a kennel dog as they are very sociable dogs & enjoy human company too much.

This photo shows Sh Ch Messano Urban Myth JW ShCM (Rumour) at 17 months of age, at Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society Open Show, where he was awarded Best of Breed and then won the Gundog Group.

Rumour is offered at stud to suitable bitches with KC/BVA health clearnces.

Our aim is to breed puppies that are balanced, both physically and mentally and conform with the required Golden Retriever breed standard.

These puppies are shown in our puppy room at around 6-weeks of age.

They have accommodation inside our home, but also have access to the outside run.

Ch Ritzilyn Barrow Boy For Messano JW (Boysie), is behind the pedigree of all the current Messano Golden Retrievers.

Boysie was a full Champion, after being awarded his Show Gundog Working at 10 months of age. He was also a Gundog Group winner, winning this honour with his first CC at Birmingham National in 1996.

Boysie was a Champion at the age of 2 years old and was always a pleasure to show, being a born showman.
