Wire Haired Dachshund

I started showing when I was 5 & continued for 12yrs doing well as a junior handler until my mother passed away in 1987.
I also trained as a professional groomer and continued this until my 1st daughter came a long in 1991.

After my mum passed away I hadn't stepped into the show ring for 32yrs. However, my 1st love has always been Standard Wirehair Dachshunds, as I had shown them for my mum & her friends Eric Gross & Liz Beydon. My 1st wire was a bitch puppy from Liz & Eric (Brockbane Black Peppermint) who was sadly run over at a young age. Since then I had promised myself I would again own and show standard wire haired dachshunds and in 2018 bought Noodles (Weinacht Larch at Drakkina).
Noodles & I have learnt together (its amazing how much you forget in 30+ years!)and we have done well, with him gaining his JW in Nov 2019. He's consistently been placed well in both championship & open shows with our best day being at Southern Counties Champ show 2019 where he took best puppy in breed & best special beginner, going on to take group 2 in special beginner hound group.

Mallow has only just started her showing career due to Covid, but has already matched her dad by taking Best Special Beginner in Breed & Group 2 at Southern Counties.
