A Very Warm Welcome to Trinkaurity Cockers where “Putting Pups First” isn’t just my moto but my entire ethos. From thoughtful breeding plans to intentional early canine development, every choice I make is rooted in compassion, science-based practice and genuine love for my dogs.

My name is Laura Pope, and I’m the sole breeder behind the name Trinkaurity! It means the world to me that you’re here, exploring how I raise my precious puppies with devotion, care, and a whole lot of love.

🏡 What Trinkaurity Cockers?
Trinkaurity Cockers is a small, ethical, home-based breeder, based in Fareham Hampshire, England. I only breed Kennel Club registered Show Type Cocker Spaniels.

Because of my renowned puppy programme, I raise just 1–2 carefully planned litters per year, allowing me to give each puppy within the litter, along with each family, my full attention.

My litters are the outcome of years and years of planning, hard work, dedication and input. Everything I do is rooted in love, ethics, education and uncompromising dedication to every pup’s future. You won’t find exactly what I do anywhere else as it is entirely bespoke to Trinkaurity!

💚 Core Principles Guide Everything I Do💚

🌱 Health & Welfare
BOTH parents at Trinkaurity will be DNA tested for number of inherited conditions from The Kennel Clubs ‘Good’ and ‘Best’ Practice including:

🧬FN
🧬AMS
🧬AON

Inclusive of this, my dogs are DNA tested for:
🧬EIC
🧬PFK
🧬DM

⚠️I will NEVER breed from an ‘AFFECTED’ dog.
⛔️No Trinkaurity pup will ever be able to develop any of the above conditions.

✅ All parents to my Trinkaurity litters are KC registered and matched with COI (inbreeding) scores below 3% … among the lowest possible.

👩‍⚕️C-Section, Spay and Retirement Policy:
At Trinkaurity Cockers, my girls are my family first and foremost. If any of my girls were ever to require a C-section, or if any health concern arose that could affect her long-term wellbeing, I would not hesitate to spay and ‘retire’ her immediately. Her safety, comfort and welfare will always outweigh any breeding plan.

‘Retirement’ is simply a word — it does not mean she becomes any less loved or valued. My girls are not “breeding stock”; they are my companions, my home, and my heart. I do not “use, spay and sell.” You will never see me advertising my adults for sale. They remain with me, living a fulfilled, enriched family life, forever and ever.

The only circumstance in which I might ever consider rehoming a retired adult would be if I truly believed she could enjoy a quieter life where she is someone’s entire world — and only with a trusted member of my Trinkaurity family whom I know personally. To date, I have never rehomed an adult, and when I keep a new addition, it is with the intention of a lifelong home.

🐾 Skipping Seasons
My girl’s physical and emotional wellbeing always comes first. I follow a welfare-based, choice-led, DEFRA-aligned approach at all times. If I feel it is in the best interests of one of my girls to skip a season — whether for health, recovery, maturity, or simply because it feels right, I will do so without question.

❗️Families who join my waiting list must do so with a clear understanding that at Trinkaurity Cockers, I Put Pups First. This includes putting the mothers first.

❣️A healthy, emotionally secure mother is far more likely to produce healthy, well-developed puppies with strong early foundations. Protecting her wellbeing directly protects the wellbeing of every future puppy she may have.

❌ If a family cannot wait for the right time, the right litter, or the right pairing, then my programme will not be the right fit for them. If I ever feel pressured to breed when it is not in the best interests of my dogs, that family will be removed from the waiting list.

🛡 Lifetime Security
Every Trinkaurity puppy has a ‘forever safety net’. If life ever changes and a family can no longer keep their dog, be it after 6 months or 16 years, they will always have a home here. No judgment, no hesitation. Once a Trinkaurity pup, always a Trinkaurity pup!

🐶 The Heart of My Home
All Trinkaurity puppies are raised in the very heart of my warm and busy family home, fully immersed in the authentic sights, sounds and natural rhythms of daily life. From teenage laughter drifting down the stairs, to the gentle hum of the washing machine, to the clatter of dinner plates at teatime… every ordinary moment nurtures their developing sense of safety, familiarity and emotional stability.

But real-life exposure alone does not create an exceptional puppy!!

It is very rare that I advertise puppies as my families join many months, sometimes years, in advance, knowing that breeders working to this standard are rare.
