I can't remember a time when we did not have a Labrador as a member of our family !
Our first Labrador made quite an impression, way back in the early 1970's, and now I have Bitches and Stud Dogs too.
Some of my dogs work, picking up several days a week on commercial shoots.
I have been breeding Black, Yellow, and Chocolate Labradors for several years now.
All my dogs and bitches are highly health tested, being hip and elbow scored, and BVA annual eye tested, as well as extensive DNA tested as well.
I like a good traditional looking Labrador, with plenty of bone and a nice head, and most importantly an exceptional temperament.
I am very proud of my dogs and my reputation for breeding healthy puppies with wonderful temperaments, with many people bringing friends and relatives back here to have one, or sometimes even two or more of my puppies. Lots of my dogs have gone to be trained as Therapy and Assistance Dogs and School Dogs too, there are now Lewtrenchard Labradors with Guide Dogs For The Blind, Medical Detection Dogs and Veterans With Dogs among others.
