HANALEI

Hanalei Vizslas is a small hobby show breeder dedicated to Hungarian Vizslas. I have always been a fan of HPR gundog breeds of which Vizslas were my favourite after years of being patient on a breeders waiting list I was lucky enough to be joined by my first Vizsla in 2016 and would never be without them. After a few years of further researching and looking into pedigrees I decided that I wished to import from abroad and find a breeder that matched with our ethos and beliefs.

Fortunately for us we found Michelle Porfido-DeLucia of Rhapsody Vizslas in America, whose love affair and dedication to the breed began in 2001. Deciding to be patient waiting for the right addition to add to the family, Michelle and I kept in touch and over the years have become good friends. All of our dog’s pedigrees are built on the strong and successful pedigrees of Rhapsody Vizslas and I cannot thank Michelle enough for her friendship, mentorship and trust.

We are lucky enough to be located in the Cambridgeshire English countryside with over 600 acres of parkland on our doorstep for the dogs to enjoy. 

Our dogs are first and foremost pets, who live in the house as part of our family. We show them at championship and open shows.

 All our dogs are health tested well above the breed average and as a bare minimum those tests include -
Hip Scoring
Elbow Scoring
Gonioscopy Eye Testing (PLA)
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)
Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)
Hyperuricosuria (HUU)
Skeletal Dysplasia 3 (SD3)

We offer a lifetime of support to all our puppy owners before and after your Hanalei Vizsla joins the family and feel honoured that many owners have returned for a second addition to the family as what’s better than one Vizsla its two of course!
