I was looking for exhibits with well-balances outlines and correct coat & fringings in addition to just pretty faces and was disappointed to find a significant number with short necks, roached backs, low-set tails or tails curled tightly over their back and heavy untypical coats. It has to be remembered that confirmation faults impede sound movement and breeders should keep this in mind when planning litters, in order that L/C' should improve rather than deteriorate further. Mouths were generally fairly acceptable but I was surprised to find a relatively high rate of non-entirety in the puppy classes. I have to admit that in some classes I struggled to find what I was looking for, where as in others I was spoiled for choice with lovely exhibits going cardless. Interestingly it turns out that several of my principle inners have S/C lines not too far back in their pedigrees.
