"Free moving, mature, well angulated, short coupled black of excellent proportions, in full double coat of good colour, balanced & not overdone in any way, strongly made but by no means coarse, built on clean lines & so well muscled, in fit, hard condition, masculine head, whose planes have gently softened with maturity, pleasing expression with brown eye, neck flows into topline & tail is carried well, well boned with strong neat feet, splendid ribs, strong quarters & second thigh, striding out around the ring he moved with drive to win his first RDCC"
