Ch Optimus Thomas Morse of Penychen ShCEx

Judges critique - My Dog CC and BOS was Ch Optimus Thomas Morse of Penychen ShCEx owned by Popp and Myers and bred by the Optimus Kennel of Pete and Debbie Myers. A dog I much admire having previously awarded him a reserve CC when last judging, A strong powerfully constructed dog with no coarseness. He is beautifully made with an expressive and correct head, broad in muzzle with a good bite, clear dark eyes, strong pronounced cheek muscles and excellent ear carriage, good length of neck that enhances the overall appearance. Body is strong and deep with a wide front and clear prosternum, rib cage is deep and of the correct depth. The topline on the dog was level and true which he always retained. Back end was powerful and well-muscled with correct angulation at stifle and hock, enabling a powerful drive action on the move, front extension was excellent contributing to a nice powerful flowing action on the move. Coat condition was not at its finest today, but in my opinion this temporary cosmetic issue in no way should detract from the exemplary structural and outstanding breed type this dog has but which others may lack. This dog is a credit to his owners and breeders who are consistently producing animals of the highest quality.
