What a fantastic day for Kiwi, we were thrilled to win the AV Open Stakes under esteemed all rounder judge Mr Andrew Brace, more poignantly as this was the first time this Stakes class had been held in memory of the late Meriel Hathaway (Melfricka) whose breeding is six generations behind Kiwi, I am sure she would have approved!
Kiwi then went on to win a strong Limit Bitch breed class, never stopped wagging her tail, the judge said she was lovely, but sadly she missed out on a green card, so near yet so far for that second elusive CC ....
Her brother Chieftan was placed 3rd in an equally competitive Limit Dog class and later won 5th in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Stakes. Another day of prize money, clever Kiwi and Chieftan.
