Another result to make me very proud - from the international and Crufts BIS judge, the renowned Liz Cartledge.
I took a gamble and put Louis into the Limit class as he had already qualified for Crufts 2014 at his previous show. He was in the company of dogs I had admired from the showring who had always been in the higher classes due to their age.
Once again, he was loving the outdoor venue, and was very chilled out making me feel very confident in him.
Unusually for whippets, the judge made the whole class move round the ring several times at the trot. I knew Louis was very happy to move at this speed and his movement was sound and true.
We were rewarded with his 3rd place award, giving him lifelong entry to Crufts and with the extra joy of having been given by such a prestigious judge.
