Judges report: Black dog of real quality & true labrador type, shown to full advantage, very well knit together, sturdy & well built, not overly big but everything in correct proportion & balance, kind eye & expression on pleasingly balanced head, lovely depth of brisket, superb quality & strength of bone, compact feet, lovely level topline with plenty of muscling across the loins, short coupled, well bent stifles & very well muscled hindquarters with defined second thigh, typical otter tail, short, thickly clothed & well carried, moved very truly & soundly.
