The puppies are all loved and cared for in our large farmhouse kitchen right up to the time they go to their forever homes. They are handled and cuddled from birth, and are well used to the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the noise of the tv, vacuum cleaner, etc. We live in a quiet rural area surrounded by fields and water, but the puppies will be acclimatised to recorded sounds of city life such as ambulance sirens, and also to fireworks and gunfire. Over the Christmas period they will also no doubt also become familiar with the sound of champagne corks popping. We make an effort to ensure they are used to children of all ages, men in hats, postmen, delivery drivers, people on motorbikes with helmets, etc. We also have a cat and another dog, so the puppies will be used to them coming and going. The puppies are regularly wormed and their claws clipped.
We bred the puppies’ mother and their grandmother, and we love flatcoats but are not professional breeders in any sense, having just one litter every few years when we dedicate our lives to ensuring they have the best possible start which will influence the rest of their lives. Zolda and Bentley, the puppies’ parents, are typical fun loving, bouncy, yet soft and cuddly flatcoats, both with excellent pedigrees. The puppies will go to their new homes with a goody bag with the food they are used to, a familiar blanket and toy, guidance on how to look after them, their Kennel Club registration certificate, their five generation pedigree. They will have been microchipped and checked by our vet with optional vaccination.
