An exceptional litter of Labrador pups. Our 5th generation of quality working  gundogs. These pups will have excellent temperaments and intelligence and will have an abundance of drive and determination. Ideally suited for active homes they will make excellent workers, trialing dogs and pets.

Sire of the pups is Bertie ( FTCH Castlemans Gobi of Garronpoint). These pups are fairly unique as Bertie has only fathered a handful of litters as he has been one of the top Field Trailing dogs in the country for several years and has rarely been used at stud. We are extremely privileged to have been allowed to use Bertie. Bertie is owned by Annette Clarke and these 2 have been a big part of the England team for several years. Bertie is a prolific award winner at Field trials and multiple qualifier for the International Gundog League annual championship. For the 2018 IGL Championship, Bertie qualified 3 times over by winning 3 Open Field trials and competed against 58 other dogs and was awarded a respectable 4th place.

In 2018 Bertie was top overall dog when England won the Home International at the Game Fair at Ragley Hall.

2018/19 was also the season than Bertie was the winner of the Banchory Bolo Cup. This prestigious award is presented by the Labrador Retriever Club at their annual AGM to the Labrador owned by a member who has gained the most points in Field Trials the preceding season

Bertie’s hip score is 7/5 and elbows 0/0 and he has a couple of clear eye certificates. He is hereditary clear for CNM, SD2 and prcd-PRA.

Mum is Lucy a dark yellow Labrador that is Kennel Club registered and her KC Name is Marstonmoor Lucy. Lucy is health tested beyond the Kennel Club required standard. She has hip score of 5/7= 12, elbow score of 0/0. She has multiple clear eye certificates (last done 5/8/2023).She is also DNA tested clear for STGD, MCD, HNPK, EIC, CNM, SD2, prcd-PRA, PKD, HUU, DM and Cystinuria Type 1 which mean none of her offspring can suffer from them. Lucy has a fantastic work ethic, a great temperament, a fantastic nose, stamina to work all day. She was easy to train and is so intelligent. We already have 3 of her offspring who are all superb dogs and we didn’t hesitate to get one last litter out of Lucy when we were given permission to use Bertie at stud . Lucy has been a fantastic addition to our team of labradors that work during the shooting season picking up/beating on various shooting estates in North Yorkshire. Lucy has been my ‘go to’ bitch for years and is equally suited to beating, picking up or as a peg dog. The best description of Lucy is that she is a hunting machine and will face any cover in her determination to succeed in her retrieve.

Lucy's sire is International FTCH Beiley Aguzannis of Fendawood. He was described as 'the best of the best" by the IGL Hon Secratary following his IGL Retriever Championship win in 2016. He has represented England many times and has a long list of Field Trial successes. We are a small hobby kennels based between Wetherby and York. We are 10 minutes from the A1. All our dogs are pets and workers. From August on the grouse moors through the pheasant, partridge and duck season to spring pigeon shooting we can be found out working our dogs.

Pups will be KC registered, vet checked, microchipped, wormed and flea'd. They will have had their 1st vacation( Canigen/Nobivac lepto4) you will need to check if your vet offers same brand for the 2nd vaccination. They will come with a copy of KC pedigree, bag of puppy food, piece of bedding and 5 weeks puppy insurance. The new owners will need to transfer the KC ownership into the new owners names.
