I am thrilled that Bella delivered 9 healthy pups from FTCH Arklebear Caribou ( Ted) who I chose for his exceptional ability, stunning looks and very biddable temperament as well as his exceptional health test results.Ted is a strong and athletic dark yellow dog who qualified for the retriever Championship in 2021 and was made up to Field Trial Champion in 2022.

The pups are all genetically clear of CNM, PRA, SD2, EIC,MCD , HNPK and Stargardt. Both parents are clear of all of those conditions and this fully completes the DNA testing by the Official UK Kennel Club Scheme. Both parents also have a current clear eye test and excellent hip/ elbow scores.

Please look also at the EBV’s for the sire which are in my Gallery - these are exceptional with very high confidence which show a reduced risk of producing puppies with hip/ elbow dysplasia compared with just using hip and elbow scores which are, nonetheless both excellent in sire and dam.


Ted is also extensively health tested clear of 206 Genetic conditions making him one of the most rigorously tested Labradors in the UK.

Bella is a very well bred labrador with almost all of her pedigree containing Field Trial award winning labradors and Champions. Bella won a Novice test when only 18 months old , her sister is a FTW and Bella works throughout the shooting season being a fantastic member of my picking up team.

Bella has superb game finding ability and works tirelessly being very agile and with lots of stamina. As you can see in the photo she is very focused when sitting at a drive but has boundless energy for sweeping up and finding game afterwards.

She is also the most devoted companion, living in the house and really loves cuddles. She specialises in really giving you a cuddle from her! She is bouncy and full of fun!

Pups from her first litter have been trained as competition gundogs, shooting companions, and as loving and denoted family pets. I am keeping a pup from this litter.

I expect these pups to be a lovely balance from both parents and would like them to go to homes where they will be much loved, as well as stimulated. The pups will be reared inside my home throughout enabling them to become relaxed, sociable and happy pups who have plenty of human contact.

The pups will be weaned onto Natural Instinct and transitioned onto Millies Wolfheart kibble( if that is what is desired) . These pups will be cared for to the very highest standards and experience. You can view further photographs of my pups in the Gallery.

The first 8 weeks are so important in a dogs development and I am fortunate in having superb accommodation both an indoor dog room which is large, light, warm and airy and is an integral part of the house yet leads directly to the garden.They will not be moved to an outdoor kennel and will have a superb start in life indoors. There is a large play pen and dog sofa indoors and outdoors in the garden ( over an acre ) there are small streams, long grass and short grass where they can explore, play, have fun interacting with one another and developing coordination skills.

The pups will be ready to leave for their new homes in late June/ early July . A lifetime of support will be given and in the meantime a frequent supply of videos and photos as they develop.
