Here at Samjoe, we are delighted to announce the safe, and much awaited arrival, of 9 beautiful pup-pies from our breeding between Janine Phoenix's handsome Quincy & our homebred girl Cassie.

The pedigree is definitely one to be excited about, combining numerous UK Champions and offers both an outcross on some prominent European lines and a line breed on the famous and highly influential USA based Storm Kloud kennel.

Cassie & Quincy both go back via their Father & Grandfather to the handsome Jenson (Champion Chayo Formula One), the son of an AI mating between Nancy Russell’s American / Canadian Champion Rocket and Sue Ellis’s homebred UK Champion Crystal. Rocket goes back to some of the foundation dogs in Storm Klouds history who between them have produced multi AMCA Working title holders and Champions over the years, while Crystal boasts Sue’s CH Blue as her father - the first UK Champion to be crowned in the breed - and CH Elise as her mother, who alongside numerous accolades of her own is litter sister to the highly acclaimed CH Enzo (a previous Best In Show Winner & Crufts Best of Breed) and half-sister to CC Breed Record Holder and Crufts Group Winner CH Bart.

Meanwhile, genetic diversity comes from Quincy’s Father London - a Russian import and UK Champion / group placer who has already sired a Champion and multiple CC winners in this country – and Cassie’s mother Zara who was one of our keeper’s from our second litter between Mikka (our male keeper from our first litter who goes back to historic UK Kennels including Chayo, Shepherdsway & Zeelukzak) and our Estonian import Olivia who also holds a diverse mix of American and European Top Winners behind her.

Of course the combination isn’t based simply on what the parent’s offer on paper.
Father Quincy has always caught our eye, and inherited everything breeder & owner Janine hoped for, retaining the Storm Kloud breed type and strong working aptitude his mother Bea and her family offer while bringing in the substance, coat and amiable temperament London has consistently brought to the UK in his breeding’s so far. His achievements in the ring so far have been plentiful, earning his Junior Warrant award – and in turn his Stud Book Number / lifetime Crufts qualification - with ease, including BPISS Multiple RBPISS wins (at AMCUK Specialities) along the way, and continuing to make his mark in the show ring with a Reserve Best In Speciality Show in July this year, and so we are understandably super excited to have his first litter born here.
Cassie has also made us proud in the ring, with numerous class wins and earning her Stud Book Num-ber / Crufts qualification for life at Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show earlier this year. She is a delight to live with at home, full of cheek & charm and firm friends with my son Jacob.
As members of the AMCUK we follow their Code of Ethics and guidelines, meaning both parents are health tested within AMCUK guidelines, having hip scores below breed average and clear eye tests for Hereditary Cataracts, as well as DNA testing for PN, CD, PCD and the long coat gene.

With such a fabulous combination, we have high expectations of these pups, anticipating consistent breed type (dark, almond eyes, waving plumes, plenty of bone and the harshest of coats) alongside sound construction and the people loving, affectionate temperaments that make this breed so special. We would also hope for good working potential and would love to see some of these pups following in the footsteps of their family in these areas, not just in the show ring.
