We are delighted to announce that our beautiful Darwin is expecting her first litter in the middle of March. This is an exciting combination of Darwin (Chevinpoint Bronte) and Otto (Milebushfarm Boris). Both parents have an excellent pedigree and lovely kind temperaments. Both parents have been health tested and are liver and white with ticks and spots.
Darwin has been bred by us here at Chevinpoint and can be seen at home with her mum Darcey (Jotterson Queen Victoria), grandma to the puppies. Darwin is a very beautiful flashy dog, who is very affectionate and loyal. She is a family pet and does not work, however she enjoys her long walks, stalking and has a fantastic point! Darwin loves snuggling up on the sofa for cuddles just as much as being out in the field.
Otto is a working gundog on a grouse moor and he has great drive and intelligence. He is very steady and has a fantastic point. He is a calm biddable dog and is a pleasure to work. He is also a much loved family pet and has a lovely quiet nature and he's great with other dogs and children. He's a very handsome striking boy with a very athletic physique and he is in optimal health. He is VWD and JEB clear and his hips are 6:4.
Katherine is not only passionate about German Shorthaired Pointers but is also a registered Veterinary Nurse. She will ensure that the all her dogs and puppies are in good health and have the very best of care. Katherine is happy to offer ongoing advice and support.
Puppies will go to their new homes with the following:
- Puppy pack
- Kennel Club registration with 5 generation history
- 4 weeks free insurance
- The puppies will be up to date with worm treatment
- Microchipped
- A bag of puppy food that they have become accustomed to.
The puppies will be happy, well socialised and reared in a busy household, with children and a variety of other animals on our small holding. The puppies will all be liver and white and should have lots of ticking/spots. They will have lovely waggy full tails and will not be tail docked. These puppies should make fantastic pets with excellent temperaments and we hope they are as stunning as mum and dad!
Our priority is the health and welfare of the puppies. German Shorthaired Pointers can be a demanding breed that requires an active home where owners have plenty of time to devote to them. Research into the breed is recommended to ensure that you can give a GSP puppy a happy home.
