14.06.12-Seven gorgeous puppies were born by caesarean to Mazda and Cooper at 9am.It looks like another litter of outstanding puppies and if they are like the last litter they will be excellent showdogs, working gundogs and incredible family pets.
15.06.12-Day 1 and all the puppies have been weighed and range from 410g to 540g. They are feeding really well and Mazda has had a quiet day cuddled up with them all.
19.06.12 Mum has been for her post op check up and all is well. The magnificent 7 are having a feeding frenzy and all gaining about 30-40g a day....growing and changing so fast!
21.06.2012 I can't believe that they are 1 week old and changing so fast. It is so lovely to watch them sleeping and feeding with mum. Our boys are thoroughly enjoying cuddling up to them in the whelping box in the kitchen.
29.06.12 Two weeks old today and all puppies have been wormed....they much prefer Mums milk though! Their little eyes are open and some have found a woof! All the puppies are gaining weight and enjoying lots of cuddles.
02.07.2012 Now the fun starts...lots of little woofs and starting to play with each other...the girls definitely have the upper hand and choose to pile on top of the boys to sleep! Their fur is getting thicker and their little ears starting to have crinkly fur :0)
08/07/12 Now we are starting to jump out of the whelping box...mum is going to have to move us outside. Only one boy left..poor chap..still he's getting lots of cuddles. Great weight gain and starting to develop their characters.
12.07.12 Well we are now settled out in our new abode and have lots of room to play together. Mazda continues to feed us milk but we have started on real food...Yum, our manners need perfecting as Jaxon and Belle think it is preferable to dunk their feet in the food first!! George has excellent table manners. We have started to meet our new families now.
19/07/12 We have all got lovely families to look after us well. We are turning into little rascals, trying to chew up pieces of newspaper and playing together. Each day we get to play indoors so that we get used to all the domestic noises and we have great fun getting to know the other pets. Skittles the kitten is our best friend and insists on washing and grooming us!
24/07/12 We have met all of our families except one now and are enjoying the sunshine. Jaxon and Belle prove to be the 'dynamic duo' in putting our safety enclosure to the test....Digby and Riley have found their barks now and Jaxon will howl if he hears us and we don't pick him up for cuddles!! Daddy Cooper is coming to visit us on Friday and we have had lots of extra cuddles now the boys are home from school :0)
30/07/12 We are trying to break out whenever possible!! Enjoying meeting our new families and mum is trying to wean us! Mazda is sleeping indoors at night but we plug into the milk bar as soon as we see her :0)...really enjoying our food now and the heavy weight pup is George, closely followed by Jaxon & Belle!!
03.08.12 Cooper's family have visited today and are delighted at the outstanding puppies. Our puppies are all going to amazing homes with people who wiull really love them. Took Baxter for a short drive today as he has a long journey to London next Weds and want to make it pleasant.
08.08.12 We took Baxter to London to meet up with his lovely new family. He was such a good boy travelling well in the car with only one toilet stop at Bristol. It was hard saying goodbye but I know he will be well loved and cared for.
09.08.12 And then there was one...George or gorgeous George is really enjoying his extended stay with all the family. He regularly playfights with MAzda, Mini & Skittles the kitten..I think she will miss him the most. He has been for his first injection and is such a clean dry boy day & night. All of his siblings have settled well into their new homes and keep us posted of their exploits! I will be sad on Weds but know George is also going to a fabulous home.
