Curly Coat & Dry Eye

Congenital Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (Dry Eye) and Ichthyosiform Dermatosis (curly Coat), affects a dog's eyes and skin.

Dogs affected with dry eye produce no tears. This in turn makes their eyes very sore. Their skin will become dry and flake. This is particularly noticed around the foot area, and inturn can make walking and even standing very painful.

This syndrome appears to be a problem unique to CKCS and has no cure at this time resulting in affected animals being put to sleep.
