Hip Dysplasia European Grading System

A number of European countries use a hip dysplasia grading system which gives an overall grade for the hips between A-E as follows :

• A - Normal Hips (0-6)
• B - Borderline Hip Dysplasia (7-16)
• C - Mild Hip Dysplasia (17-36)
• D - Moderate Hip Dysplasia (37-60)
• E - Severe Hip Dysplasia (>60)

The numbers in brackets are an approximation to the total hip score which might be given if the dog was scored under the KC/BVA scoring scheme.
