Nevadamay Mountains Shadow – “Bea”
Born: 24 July 2021

Bea is our much-loved 13 kg working gundog and an absolute joy to have as part of the family. While she is a capable and enthusiastic worker in the field, at home she is first and foremost a gentle, affectionate, and easy-going companion.

She has a lovely nature and is brilliant with children—patient, calm, and always happy to be involved. She even counts our cat as one of her closest friends. Bea is easy to live with, keen to please, and content to relax around the house when she is not working.

When out shooting, Bea shows her other side: focused, obedient, and full of drive. She works regularly as part of a woodland management team, confidently flushing and retrieving on both land and water, and is completely steady under gunshot.

Bea comes from excellent working lines, with 15 Field Trial Champions in her five-generation pedigree, including FT Ch Mallowdale Grand of Ian Openshaw’s Rytex Gundogs—but it is her temperament and adaptability that truly make her special.
