Enid is our first Basenji and she joined the pack in 2019. After a lot of research for a small hound, we decided the Basenji was the right fit for our lives and our resident Ridgebacks. We admired them from the ringside and began to make our enquires. We are so grateful that Trish and Dee thought us worthy to become a slave to one of their puppies. It has been a lot of hard work adjusting to the traits of a Basenji but my god has it been worth it. We have had so much fun with our pocket rocket, she was without doubt the perfect accompaniment to our Ridgebacks. She holds her own when out in the fields and can keep up with them galloping across the fields no problem at all. Aside of being my daughter's best friend she absolutely loves people. She has the waggiest tail and puts on her special face for those she really loves. She has many nick names and answers to them all, weenie and eenie meenie minie mo. She adore's her extended family and fan club, Basenji and Ridgeback fraternity amongst many others around the showground.

Showing Enid is a challenge and a joy. Exceeding all our expectations. A new dog in a new breed in a competitive show world. Her true breed qualities have shone through. Lockdown put a pause on her show career, but when we got back to showing she came in with a bang.

Enid gained her Junior Warrant just before Lockdown adding to her RCC which gave her her Stud Book Number and lifetime qualification for CRUFTS.

Our first show after Lockdown, Enid was awarded her first Challenge Certificate and Best of Breed. Enid has continued to excel in the ring and to date has 11 Challenge Certificates and 6 Reserve Challenge Certificates.

In 2021 she was joint TOP BASENJI and was awarded the following from The Basenji Club of Great Britan:

The Gooses Challenge Shield - Basenji of the year 2021

The Ziunga Crown - Tope Female Basenji of the year 2021

The Guinea Cup - Most points in Breed Classes

The Bokoto Phoebe Trophy - Tri-Colour most points in Breed Classes

as well as The Newcomer Trophy.

2021 was an exceptional year for us and 2022 has continued in the same fashion adding 5 more CC's to the collection.
