Maggie is from Clover’s third and final litter.
Her father’s pedigree brings back into my lines some very strong bitches, which is something I look to when choosing a stud dog. The dog himself belongs to a very good friend of mine, and has a wonderful temperament and personality; he is everything I look for in a cocker and he has certainly passed that onto Maggie. She is full of confidence and cheekiness - a proper cocker! In September 2023 she won a novice working test with the London Working Spaniel.
After this, Maggie's journey has not been straight forward. At 2 years old, following some minor lameness, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her back left leg. After having her leg amputated, and going through chemotherapy Maggie went on to compete in more working tests, and even field trials. To my knowledge, she is the only dog on three legs to have competed, and won, in field trials. Her achievements are listed below:
3/9/23 - 1st place novice working test
1/9/24 - 3rd place open working test
29/9/24 - 2nd place open working test
24/10/24 - 1st place novice cocker field trial
28/11/24 - 4th place open field trial
4/11/24 - Certificate of merit Open cocker field trial
9/3/25 - 1st place open working test

Maggie has now retired from competition, she enjoys going beating and picking up on local shoots. We do not plan to breed from Maggie, and plan to get her spayed in 2026.
